Tonight I feel like there are only snippets in my head. Many little pieces of tons of stories and experiences are floating around, but I just can’t focus on any one topic. Geesh! I suppose it could be that I’ve been able to be home a great deal in the last few days. Maybe I’ve stopped having to think on the spot. I don’t know! But, I will admit, it’s been nice to be home and clean and organize and feel like I really live in this house. There are times when the kids have back-to-back activities that I’m only home for mere minutes before running out to the next event. Actually, I left the house 5 times today and that STILL seems like I had a day “at home”. I guess it’s all about the amount of time in the house in between having to leave.

Gabi the barber!

A few days ago I came into the kitchen and noticed hair on the floor. It wasn’t a lot, but looked like Gabi had pulled hair from out of a clip. Then I noticed more a little farther away. Oh wait! And there was more. I soon realized I was following a trail of curls to the garbage can in the laundry room. Let’s just say that we’re very lucky that Gabi has curly hair! She grabbed bits of hair from the top of her head and simply cut. She is now sporting a curly version of a bad mullet. I can’t really, even, pull her hair into a ponytail without the front coming out. I have to get the front/top wet and slick it back to make the ponytail and then hairspray it in place. We can leave it down and just clip the top back and it’s less noticeable. She will be growing this cut out for a LONG time. Thanks goodness we had pictures done BEFORE the cut! Whoever coined the phrase, “Terrible Twos” had obviously not yet experienced the “Threatening Threes”.

On the way home from Mariah’s JRP (John Robert Powers) class tonight, we saw a personalized license plate that said, Don loves (heart symbol) Frn. This started a debate on whether Don loves Fran or Fern. Hmmmmmmm…………what do you think?

Good night~

Gotta love those little haircuts….both of my littlest girls are growing out their self-imposed hair styles, also. What is it with little ones and scissors applied to hair?!?

  2. Comment by Maggie:

Fern’s just funnier so I’m going with that!

Lil Gabs…Love that crazy kid and the fact that you have now coined a new phrase that is beyond true…”the Threatening Threes”.

    I LOVE YOU ! xoxoxo
