Using sidewalk chalk in the bath/shower may seem like a good idea when your children are house-bound (2 days of “heavy” rain in So. Cal.)

But……………..it’s NOT!

While the kids did enjoy writing on the shower walls, it took me over an hour to get the area pictured below, clean. Geesh!

The only positive thing about the whole experience is knowing FOR SURE, that my tub and walls are clean! :-)

While I was in there scrubbing, I was thinking about the bath toys. We’ve had several systems for bath toys over the years. But I haven’t found one, yet that keeps the toys from eventually getting mungy. Does anyone have a FABULOUS bath toy system? ‘Cuz, as you can see, we are down to a few toys that just sit on the edge of the tub. Not so much fun for the kiddos, but at least I can keep them clean and dry.

Let me know.

Good night~

They do make crayons for the shower :-) We have a lovely net that if you overfill unsuctions from the wall and falls to the floor spilling toys all over the tub. Don’t recommend that one. Two days of rain-poor thing, I think we are on 4 or 5.
Looking forward to your next podcast!

    Hey Jen,

Sorry no bath toy tips…but nice work on the tub…Sparkly clean.

    Miss you xo

Hmmm, no great suggestions. I try to put them all in a bucket of clorox every once in awhile- well, that’s my goal anyway, doesn’t happen much though! We just have them sitting on the edge as well. I used to put them in a net/ or container, but felt like I had better things to do than gather toys every night! So, they only get gathered when I clean the tub which should be more often as well…

I throw them, the bath scrubbies and rubber bath mat in the wash machine (of course) on gentle, hot water with a cup of bleach. When I had my top loader washer I used to fill the washer with hot water and bleach and let everything soak. I would even suck up the bleach water into the squirty toys (they get moldy inside). They get a nice rinse and are fresh and clean!!

We sellchildren’s toys in the UK.

Parents are always asking for the bathroom crayons that easily wipe off, we have also sourced a suction white board for children which is easily attached to the bathroom tiles and children can draw on the board instead of the wall. It can then be easily removed and used in other places – like long car journeys! :)
