Boy, it is so cool to know I am not the only one with calendar vertigo...sometimes, I wake up in the morning in an absolute panic because I can't remember what day it is, and what I am supposed to be doing. I've totally spaced on orthodontist appointments (which, BTW, I better remember to call and resked Monday...) and all sorts of flakey things. Today, I was supposed to take pat in to get his stitches removed (don't ask...), and flaked out until he reminded me about 3 pm... I ended up dropping him off at the ER with his military ID (readers - he's 13 - pretty big, right?) and picking up the rest of the clan, and then back to get him, only to find that they had admitted him because it looked infected and could I please sign the paperwork? Sigh. Was loving being seen as a slacker mom. They were very nice about it. But if I had only remembered what day it was...in the right configuration of "things I gotta remember this day"...I coulda gotten him there inthe morning when Dan was still home, or better yet have Dan take him...

Hey! This would make a good podcast - the amazing thing is that MOST of the time, the little details do somehow do get remembered in time...why don't you share how you keep track of the details? (Brain building for mommies?) ;-)

Thank you for being so real! I mean there are A LOT of people out there, parents and otherwise, who put on an act that they are perfect. You are an outstanding mother, wife, sister and friend and part of your beauty is that you are human like the rest of us.
The sharing of your life has given so many people a place feel comfortable, to realize it is ok to be who we are, it is ok to make mistakes here and there :). It's a matter of how we handle them!

I love you SO my Jen xoxoxo Here's to friday!

Hey Jen! It's not only you that froggets what day it is. This evening the neighbor across the road from us worked 15 minutes to pull out his garage can and add to it. Ha, ha, ha - This morning (Thursday) was garbage pick up day. What happened to you is quite normal.
