Plans For the Future

March 4, 2008

This afternoon I had only two of my boys with me. I had an appointment and ran some errands. While we were in the van we had this conversation:

Tristan: When I grow up I’m going to live alone and have 3 dogs. I’m going to have 3 so that they’ll always be together. When the oldest one dies the other two still be together. When the middle one dies, I’ll be with the other one and when it dies, I’ll die.

Max: I’m having 3 dogs too. NO, I’m having 16 dogs!

Mom: Wow! That’s a lot of dogs! Don’t either of you want to get married and become dads?

Tristan: No, I just want to live by myself, in the woods.

Max: No way! My kids would mess up my house. They would tear everything apart and they would be wild.

Mom: You guys are wild sometimes and I clean up after you.

Max: But you’re not going to live at my house. Hey Tristan, I’m going to live right next to you!

Tristan: NO YOU’RE NOT! I’m living in the wilderness by myself!

Max: And my house will be touching yours.

Mom: So, Max, you’re not going to marry Brooke anymore?

Max: ~Hits forehead with hand~ Oh! ~sigh~ Now that you reminded me, I will.

Mom: You don’t have to. I just remember that you kept telling me that you were going to.

Max: No, I will. I’m going to marry Brooke, have 16 dogs and 22 kids and, Tristan, I’ll live RIGHT NEXT TO YOU!

So it goes with conversations between brothers!

Have a good night~

This made me smile :) ! Brothers…So cute! It’s funny how even at such young ages we can come up with ideas for our future. They have no idea what life has in store…But they still went for it. Sweet Imagination!

I can’t wait to see where their lives take them.

LOVE xoxoxo

I think I love the part where Max says that his house will be *touching* Tristan’s the most!

No wait!
It’s when Max says he’s going to be married and have 16 dogs and 22 kids!

Funny part of that is the internal Mom voice in my head says NOTHING about the 22 kids, but only about the dogs! 16 dogs?! My head is swimming…
Love to you and the fam!

Love it! “No I’m living alone in the wilderness!” You been letting them watch,……oh man I can’t think of the name. The wilderness man movie that Clay always loved. Darn it! You know what I’m talking about Jen. Any way, very cute and sweet. I hope their lives turn out exactly as they want.

Have a good day. I love you,

Peg

Ok so she totally reminded me that I Stopped picking out favorite parts…hers are very good..but I think my favorite part is this “They would tear everything apart and they would be wild.” haha….and then you referred to them as wild and his response is that you won’t live at his house…HAHA. It’s as though his kids are going to be wild animals or something. And then his whole mindset changes and he wants 22!! Like the 16 dogs aren’t going to be any trouble at all..haha!
This whole thing just makes me laugh. I LOVE it! Young minds :) !

Love this!! I remember Peter telling me he was going to have a red jeep, marry a cute neighbor girl named MaryGrace and move to Texas! No doubt Pat would be right on his heels…they are always inseparable…

You always highlight to me the best parts of being a mom, Jen! Thanks!

That is so cute! Coby told me that he is going to get married and his wife will stay home with the babies & he is going to drive a big rig. But, he and his family are going to live at home with Clint & I– hmmm… When I told him he’d have his own home when he got bigger, he started to cry and said he would live with us forever. Its nice to know I’m loved :) I think Tate wants to be a garbage man as he is fascinated with garbage trucks, recycling bins & trash in general. And, Jake? Well, we’ll see…
