Happy 4th of July!

July 4, 2008

I hope you each have a great day full of fun and celebration. Please take a moment to remember those who have sacrificed that we may be here today. Remember those who are deployed and say a prayer for their safe return.

We are packing up to hit the beach. Kateri left early this morning to stake out a spot for us. It will be a nice day out of the house! The evening will be full of fireworks.

Happy 4th of July!

ONE YEAR of blogging!

July 2, 2008

Today marks one year of blogging. I never thought, a year ago, when I started writing on a .mac site that a year later, I would be podcasting, be part of the MommyCast and Friends Family Channel or that I would be so excited to get the feedback and comments that you leave me. Wow! Thanks for taking this journey with me!
(all the content from the .mac site was transferred over here, in Sept. that’s why all the early posts say “September”. Unfortunately I lost all comments when I transferred)

Today is Maddi’s 12th bday, but we will celebrate when she returns from Girl Scout camp. We have 3 bday’s that are close together. We just celebrated JJ and Anna in the last week. The kids love this time of year because of all the excuses to eat junk!

Today we took advantage of the Train Museum at Balboa Park being free. Whoo Hoo! We also got to visit the butterfly garden and the BIG fountain. It was nice to grab some friends and head out for a few hours.

It was lots of fun! It’s been beautiful here and going out today was great!

On a less “fun” note. My teenager issues are still making my head spin. I thought we had made some great progress today, but I seem to have been mistaken. ~Big Breath~ This too shall pass. Prayers and peaceful thoughts are welcome and appreciated!

Good night~
