St. Nicholas……Put Out Your Shoes!

Today is St. Nicholas’ feast day. At this house that means that there are a host of shoes littering our front porch. Some of the kids put out one shoe and some try to put out every shoe they own, in the hope that they’ll wake up this morning and find a candy cane.

For me, who forgot to buy candy canes, that meant a 4:30 am trip to the local 24 hour drug store. Thank goodness there is one!
