Workout Update

So here it is, one week after I made the original commitment to get moving. Last Monday (after I worked out the underwear issue), I loaded the 2 little ones into the jogger and headed out. My intent had been to walk the 2 miles to the beach and then head back. But, in my multitasking, mama-mode, brain, I knew I had to actually accomplish something during this time. So, instead of the beach, we walked the NEARLY 2 miles to Trader Joes, where the kiddos were able to search for Pokey the Fish, get a prize and I was able to buy a few needed grocery items. This all made me feel like I wasn’t just cutting out time that could have been used to attack some household task.

I know! I’m hopelessly locked into the mindset of having everything be productive. Unfortunately it’s really hard for me to carve out time that doesn’t get something done. So, I got some shopping done while also getting a good walk in. Seriously, I was sore for 2 days! BUT (I’m expecting to be chastised) I did not manage to get another one in for the rest of the week.

That leads me to today. Today………….yep, today should be the next step in getting out there and making it happen. However, I’ve ended up with 3 kids home from school, sick. Guess what goes out the window?! That’s right, Mom’s walk!

My intentions haven’t changed, but neither have my obligations. So, one day at a time. One step at a time, maybe I can make this happen. I’m shooting for Thursday.

    When the boys were newborns and I couldn’t go to the gym bc of nursing every 2 seconds, I used Billy Blanks Tae Bo Dvd. It is REALLY good & gets you toned and in good shape. I used to do it at the end of the day when Clint got home for about 30 -45 min. every other day or so. That might work at home when you can’t get out.
