Wow, that’s kind of impressive! By looking at what is already there, I would use one of the paver tiles and dig/push it down vertically so it extends the barrier of the cement slab (pretty much in the hole that the dog already dug). Then I would get a metal kick plate for the bottom of the door, or some type of wire mesh.
