I don’t know who fed my kiddos naughty pills but the 3 youngest have been on fire the last few days. I guess it means that summer is over and they’re ready for the structure of school, but I’m not sure they’ll make it to next Tuesday at this rate. By 9am they had each stood in the corner and by 2pm I was so done that I put the 7yr old, 5yr old and 4yr old down for naps, closed and locked my bedroom door and told my 11yr old that I was NOT TO BE DISTURBED until I came out. I tell ya, I was ready to hunt scalps!

Whew!

If this keeps up I just may disappear for the long weekend and leave them in the care of their father. That’ll teach ‘em! ;-)

But now the house is quiet. The older girls are doing their “big kid” stuff for the evening and the lils are all in bed. I’ve had a glass o’ vino and am ready to get some of my own things done. I think I’ll make it till tomorrow. But watch out all you naughty lil kiddos! M.O.M’s patience is wearing thin!

Why do you think we’re already finishing up week SIX of the new school year? I totally hear ya! Honestly, I would have started even earlier, but I hadn’t gotten my act together in ordering the school books soon enough. The boys needed more structure badly towards the end of our break, so we started mid- July. Two months seems to be our maximum as far as vacation; after that, it gets a little over the top around here :P If you can, take them to the Y & go get some exercise time in to help fuel up on the patience. Not too much longer till the 1st day…

Now that I can’t make any of the Boot Camp classes, the Y and I are going to be really good friends. I just checked today for the schedule of the Playcare area to be sure that I can take Lex there each day when I get off and get a workout in before picking up the other kids. It’s amazing the difference in MY attitude and tolerance level when regularly working out!

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I get to the gym 3 times a week; sometimes it has to be 1 or 2 depending on what’s going on in the house or with Clint’s various jobs. When I go once or twice, it takes a much bigger mental effort to deal with everything here. I just remind myself that my next workout is “x” amount of days away! If I take the boys to the park, I’ll make use of the push up bars or play tag with them; it helps a little anyway.

After I have a baby, I like to be around all the time to nurse on demand & hold the baby, so I usually end up doing Tae-Bo (Billy Blanks) dvds until the baby is on somewhat of a routine & I can slip out for an hour. I remember after Tate was born doing round house kicks with Coby (who was 16 months at the time) hanging off my leg & me shouting through the house, “Clint! PLEASE take Coby so I can finish my workout.” I’d nurse Tate when Clint got home & pop in the dvd & hope he wouldn’t cry or need me until I was done about 40 min. later! I had to do it though; without some sort of exercise, I go batty- probably bc I spent many years of my life dancing 6 hours a day.

Hi, I took some time to read the article and show it to my girlfriend and I’m quite impressed with how thought-provoking and interesting it was. I wish more people actually took the time to create worthwhile content. Thanks
