I know you can imagine the laundry that piles up in my laundry room. It’s a constant battle to keep it under control. If I do 4 loads a day, every day, I can pretty well keep it managed. BUT, for the last few weeks my washer has decided to have emotional problems. It’s constantly telling me it’s “unbalanced” or UL. I’ll put a load in before I leave for work, just to come home and find that it’s been sitting there UL all day. I then have to open the lid, move everything around and try again. But usually that doesn’t fix the issue and I have to start removing the heavier items (ie; towels, sweatshirts…), one at a time and keep trying until the load finally spins out. Then I get to play with spinning out the heavier items. It’s driving me crazy. I’m about to take the washer in for a Prozac prescription. Unbalanced, are you?!

I took this picture before I left for work today and that’s what I’m up against AFTER successfully getting 5 loads done yesterday.

I was home yesterday and able to play the washer’s game.
Well, there’s no time for the Washer Games, this afternoon, but if there’s a Dr. in the house, you can send that prescription and I’ll see if I can get things back in balance!

On this day, where things seem all outta whack, I’m choosing to find something that lifts my spirits and reminds me to focus on all things good. I’m thinking of the fact that my son is traveling safely and enjoying this time in his life. I’m thinking that the schools my children have been attending are filled with a solid education, faith and many beautiful people. I’m thinking that I have running vehicles and 2 refrigerators full of food. I thinking that my loved ones are alive and safe. I’m thinking that I’ve been able to live near the ocean for many years and have gotten to smell the ocean air and feel the ocean breeze while watching it’s vast and untamed waters. I’m thinking that even on crazy days, life really is good.
While I focus on all these thoughts I’m going to fill my house with music that I love, roll up my sleeves and clean.
Always take a moment to breathe deeply and find your blessings.

Fall is my FAVORITE season.
Even though it officially started last week, it didn’t really happen here until I took down the Contico tub of candles and the 2 Contico tubs of decor and began the change over. It’s by no means complete, but the feeling has arrived. I LOVE it!
Every year when I start to take out the decorations the kids stand by, ready to take a little walk down memory lane. This year, Gabi was especially happy to see the things she had made in preschool that I’d packed up and tucked away, with all the things her siblings have made from year to year. Such a box of memories!
There’s something so homey and comforting about Fall. I love the soup! I love the sweaters! I love the long pants and boots! I LOVE the crispness to the early morning. I use those particular words, because I live in San Diego and once the early morning is gone, you don’t really know if Fall’s gonna stick around or if it’s going to become a regular ol’ San Diego day. You could very well put on that favorite sweater and boots and be quite sorry for it by noon. But I love Fall anyway!
So now that it’s started, I’ll spend the next couple of days putting up the rest of the decor and beginning to think of the holidays. If you were planning on visiting me, this is definitely the time! The house if feeling cozy and I’m ready for it!
